Oh hey, lookit that. I managed to post relatively) new art! It only took me what could arguably be considered EONS in intarweb time!

This past Christmas, I wanted to make my close friends something a little extra special for Christmas rather than purchase a gift for them. So, seeing as I can't cook my way out of a paper bag, and I a disaster around crafty things, I decided to draw them all watercolor portraits.

I've shared the ones I fancy most here, since I was too lazy to post the remainders. :) Feel free to either laugh or be halfway impressed. My technical skill definitely isn't anywhere near where it used to be because I am out of practice, but I had fun with these, and that's all that counts - right kids? ;) Haha!

In other news...

I am slowly drifting away from updating my LiveJournal. I still sign in to view and comment on all of your updates, musings, anecdotes, arts and wayward memes, but I find myself with less time nowadays to sit down and write meaningful things here. Not that I was ever particularly insightful about life itself, but you catch my drift. ;)

Anyway! I still check in from time to time to say hello, and I think for the most part I follow the majority of you folks on other social networking sites. If not, feel free to stay in touch with me via Twitter or Facebook. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Flight of the Conchords - Business Time

So, the other day jacksonslam sent this to me via Google Talk. I fancy myself a Flight of the Conchords fan, but I had yet to see/hear this song during the past year of being what I thought was a fairly dedicated fan.

Also I expected it to be hilarious. But not choke-on-my-beverage and nearly-fall-off-my-chair hilarious. Which it was.

The unfortunate thing about jacksonslam sharing this gem with me is that he sent it to me while I was AT WORK. And once Jemaine got to the part where he does his sexyman rap of, "You're wearing that same old ugly baggy T-shirt with the stain on it you got from that team building exercise you did for your old work several years ago," I totally lost it. I was braying like a jackass at my psuedo-cubicle as my other co-workers could only guess at what the hell I could possibly find so funny at 3pm on a Friday afternoon.

In order to save face a bit, I closed the video and carried on being useful, silently thanking the gods of Things That Are Hilarious for sending Jemaine and Bret down to Earth to entertain us mortals.

Ahhh...

So...

Does this entry really have any aim other to share "It's Business Time" and tell you my lame story about laughing and being lame at the lameness of me not previously having heard what is possibly FotC's most well-know hit?

No. No, I am afraid there is not other aim.

Dear Alcohol,

You are not my friend. Know how those fancy scientist folk say you are a depressant? Yeah, well, it is Sunday and I am feeling blue. You made me chatty last night, I had a most excellent time with my friends and much karaoke was sung, but...

The next day is never a happy one, even with my brave attempts at reversing your adverse affects by eating a delicious cheeseburger! BLAH.

In other news, I will not long be importing any of my Twitter feed into this journal. I originally set up LoudTwitter here in order to let folks know I was still around, but it turned out to be more cumbersome than useful the longer I kept it going.

So! LiveJournal is for regular blogging purposes, and Twitter is reserved for, well, goofiness. If you'd like to follow me, I'm over here. ;)
